And we're normally extremely thrifty; we don't turn the heat higher that 54-58 (the latter being tropical), while we wait for the shower water to heat up we run that water into a bucket for hand-washing my clothes, etc. etc. But no way are we bending our knee to this garbage. Run the washer, dryer, dishwasher, all your t.v.'s, stereos, etc. Frugality is sensible, but this "mother earth" thing has gotten WAY OUT OF HAND.
