ZENYATTA: Queen of the World!

Zenyatta has just won the Breeder’s Cup Classic, against all odds, the only filly to do so, against all the pundits (though I’ve rooted for her since day one). Fourteen wins in a row, and the fourteenth the biggest and best of all. It was a *fantastic* race, a perfect ride by jockey Mike Smith, and amazing when one considers that the Moss family took a big chance, risking Zenyatta’s perfect record against the boys when everyone said it was a bad idea, that even Zenyatta, one of the best racehorses in the world, couldn’t beat the boys. What a race.

Notably, Rachel Alexandra didn’t show up to the Breeder’s Cup.
