Has the world fallen off its axis?
First, Joe Biden impresses me with what seems to be a pretty honest Memorial Day speech at Arlington National Cemetery (an event BHO skipped out on so he could go party at home in the Windy City). Biden truly did seem honoured and humbled to be laying the wreath and calling the nation to remember those who have died in America’s service. I don’t LIKE Joe Biden, but that speech really did improve the household opinion of him, because y’all know we adore the troops here.
Today, Joe Biden defends Israel over the flotilla raid. Somebody in this administration needs to have their head on straight regarding this issue!
Biden said Israel has an “absolute right” to defend its security interests, according to a transcript Politico obtained of an interview that was to be broadcast Wednesday on the Charlie Rose show on Bloomberg TV.
“It’s legitimate for Israel to say, ‘I don’t know what’s on that ship. These guys are dropping eight-3,000 rockets on my people,’ ” Biden said.
Earlier today, Benjamin Netanyahu rightly pointed out that Israel has every right to protect her people, and will not apologize for defending them.
I suppose after the past three days, Obama will one again feel obliged to lock Joe up in a cage. Oh well. Thanks for being right about two things, Veep!

Oh, dear. President Obama was in IL on Memorial Day weekend, yes, but he went to the Abraham Lincoln cementery to deliver his Memorial Day speech. It did rain (more like a monsoon) so the ceremony was cancelled for the most part but he did talk to the many people congregated there. Re: Israel, they do have the right to defend themselves but not just kill people at random in relief vessels. Opressing Gaza and isolating it from the world will only bring more resentment and violence. They won’t learn…
Whoo-hoo, Obama talked to people who were probably there more to hail the rock star president than they were to honour the fallen. He is the POTUS: if he is not going to be at a place of significance like Normandy, he had better be at Arlington. He went to Chicago to party. He has no concern for our troops, much less what they died to protect.
So far as Israel…They were not killing people ‘at random’, the Israeli soldiers were being beaten with lead pipes by a group considered to be terrorists by other nations, by people who were not on a humanitarian mission but merely a PR blitz. Explain why these ‘random’ people were making suicide bomber-like videos before they embarked?
Proper relief vessels for Gaza are rightly inspected by the Jews…Who not only then help transport the relief, they donate their own to the very people who have it in their charter to slaughter them and destroy Israel entirely. Sorry, but your vapid talking points don’t work here, Angie.
They don’t work with you because of your blind rage and lack of proper thought process. Nothing like trying to talk some sense on an Ann Coulter wannabe….
He went there to honor the fallen. I know people that were there. So, are the people buried there are less deserving than those at Arlington. Don’t make me laugh… Some American you are…
Israel needs to get their act together or they will loose any support from the international community…
Who said the servicemen and women buried outside of Chicago are less deserving of our attention? All of their graves are decorated and honoured, in cemeteries large and small, famous and unknown, all across the nation. The point is that ARLINGTON is our national cemetery; moreover, the POTUS has demonstrated in the past that the military isn’t high on his list of those to be respected or paid attention to.
Love the blind rage remark, thank you. You should just see me in the kitchen! It’s horrifying, what that rage drives me to do…
And Israel is doing the right thing. When terrorists show up on America’s shores, should we let them dock, beat our soldiers with lead pipes, and wreak havoc while holding our hands behind our backs?
I don’t think Arlington should be considered the only place the President should go. That is an insult to the people buried on other cementeries. Sad that you don’t see it that way. Typical military fanatic bull. I am against war and a pacifist at heart but I have great respect for the military. Just because someone doesn’t go around crying war war and kissing the rear of the military doesn’t mean they want them gome.
Israel: C’mon a guy was left with four shots on the head….. for carrying a lead pipe? It is time to end that conflict and it has to start somewhere….
