Barack Obama: Liar, and worse, a monster

In 2003, a bill designed so babies who manage to survive an abortion are given legal protection and thus medical care appeared before the Illinois Senate. Previously, such babies, babies which were alive and breathing, where thrown away as “medical waste” — THROWN AWAY — by hospitals.

Barack Obama voted against it, and thus voted in favour of nothing less than infanticide.

Indeed, Barack Obama has voted against this three times.

Even NARAL stayed neutral on the “Born Alive” and did not fight it; even Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer voted in support of it; the latter even encouraged her fellows to vote for it. The federal Born Alive Infants bill, containing exactly the language of the Illinois bill, passed 98-0 in 2001.

Does Barack Obama actually prefer that infants be left to die instead of given medical care, care I’m sure individuals or churches or charities would be all to happy to pay for? What other way can we look at this?

It’s what David Reinhard calls a crime and a cover-up. Indeed.

You see, Mr. Obama claims that he voted against the bill because it lacked a “neutrality clause” that would not undermine Roe v. Wade itself. As it turns out, though, this is not the truth.

Here’s the problem with Obama’s explanation: The National Right to Life Committee has unrefuted records from the Illinois Legislature that prove it has no basis in fact. State Senator Obama voted against a version of the act that contained a “neutrality clause” lifted from the federal legislation. In fact, as chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, Obama voted to include it in the state legislation before joining the committee majority in killing the whole bill.

…Opposing efforts to help babies born alive in botched abortions is the crime — enabling infanticide.

Obama said last weekend that determining where life begins is “above my pay grade.” Surely, however, he recognizes the life of a baby born alive during an abortion is not above his pay grade. And yet he chose to kill a bill offering legal protection to these lives — even when it included a provision that satisfied the most radical abortion-rights champions.

At the risk of committing blasphemy, you have to ask: What’s with this guy? Does he think nobody will notice this kind of thing?

Interestingly, as chair of Health & Human Services Committee in the Illinois Senate, Obama modified the bill to contain the neutrality clause…and then still worked and voted to defeat it.

Beastly. How someone could vote against this bill is incomprehensible.

Boy. This is why those in authority over us are in desperate need of prayer.
