Cap & Tax—CALL NOW

EVERYONE needs to call their Congresscreature and tell them to vote NO, NO, NO on the cap & tax bill tomorrow. Those of you in states with agricultural or industrial interests and Democrat Congresscreature should be especially active, because I’m hearing reports that these Congresscreatures are wavering because of the effects of this nefarious, destructive bill. This is the most expensive tax in history, and it will crush this nation.

Cap and trade will destroy freedom, just like the healthcare bill. CALL NOW! Email, fax, visit! You can obtain all the necessary information from Legistalker.

Remember, if you CALL NOW!, you’ll win: Freedom! Liberty! Wealth! Freedom of movement! The right to turn on your heat or A/C when necessary! The right to choose which vehicle you drive! The ability to go on vacation where and when you please! Electric bills that aren’t $500 a month! Yes, if you CALL NOW!, these gifts and more will be YOURS!

Cap & Trade’s Biggest Losers: Electrical Appliances & Equipment

Update II Y’all, when you write/call/visit your Congresscreature, do try and find something *nice*, something to compliment them about. I thanked Rep. Mollohan for voting to stand with the Iranian people in HR 560 (because let’s face it, I’m not sure I really appreciate anything else he’s voted on of late). Check Legistalker, check the voting records, and try to throw them a bone so you don’t just sound…enraged. Which you understandably are. Just an idea.

Also, to the President: You arrogant son of a pansy… You are going to “allow” me to keep my doctors? Excuse me? Who are you? YOU work for ME. Leave my health care and my health alone! Stay out of it, you fascist, wealth-hating jerk! As if the government has the money? You’ve spent this nation’s people into debt for the next two thousand years, should Jesus tarry that long!

You’re lying anyhow, and anyone with a brain and the ability to think critically knows it.

Love how they are posing this as “competition” for the market, too. Har-dee-har-har. Now you’re for competition, eh? As one Senator said, it’s like his daughter’s lemonade stand competing with McDonald’s (though I hate to see McD’s smeared that way).

This man said last night that he and his bureaucrats would themselves decide whether or not you are worth a surgery, or if you could live with a painkiller the rest of your life. Not you and your doctor and your family—some power-crazy bastard in Washington. This is insanity.

(Most of my doctors feared Shrillary and now fear Obama. Two have said they’ll quit working, one said he might sneak around to patients in an old Econoline van, and one says he might have to divorce his wife because they’re going to be taxed to death.)

Did you hear about how Obama said that he wouldn’t use the government provided health care if his wife or children were seriously ill? But I’m supposed to give up my health insurance and let my children suffer if I can’t afford an expensive procedure? Who is this helping? The thing about the system that we have now is that poor people get sliding scale fees and are able to finance their procedures. It’s just not what people want to spend their money on. When I didn’t have health insurance –well I don’t have insurance now, I have a stipend and will be getting insurance through my employer next month– I went to go to the ER at my FIL’s urging –he works for the ER and is only truly happy if one of his relatives is at death’s door–. As it turned out I had the flu and was fine. I still had to pay that astronomical bill though. We had a lot of other expenses come up at that time. I talked to the financing dept. and I have been making monthly payments for a year. I just made the last one the other day. Another time when I was in my late teens, I cut my finger late at night and needed stitches. After talking with the hospital to work out a payment plan they went ahead and covered the bill out of a charity fund that they have. And then there is the state funded health care that is available to poor people –if the families who already have health insurance don’t abuse it–. The only thing that needs to be reformed about our health care system is the sense of entitlement people seem to think that they have to it and their unwillingness to pay for what is enabling them to go on living.

It is remarkable how happy doctors & hospitals are to WORK with people who have trouble paying. I ran into the same thing w/my surgery several years ago (when my health insurance decided to deny the claim after sending me 3 written approvals prior to surgery). Thank God the hospital was willing to work out a payment plan.

Furthermore, one reason healthcare & insurance is SO expensive is that the gov’t got involved in the first place. Those who can pay or who do have insurance are footing the bill for the poor, the indigent, the lazy, etc. Obviously, bad things happen to people of all types, and not everyone is lazy, but…you get my drift.

The other reason is the IDIOTS who go to the ER for every case of the sniffles and every stubbed toe. It’s absurd.

Someone made a great point today: If we can get gov’t employees to admit that they and their families won’t have to be on this plan and won’t be signing up for it, it is OVER for this plan (this time around). So we need to start tailing our Congresscreatures with video cameras and ask that question.
